The Langley Memorial Hospital Auxiliary began sixty-five years ago. Over the years the number of male and female volunteers has grown to over 250 in 2009. The auxiliary consists solely of volunteers; there are no paid members or administration to reduce the funds available for our purpose. We are a Registered Society and a Registered Charity and as such we can issue Income Tax Receipts for cash donations.
The purpose of this organization, through its individual members, shall be to promote and advance the welfare of the hospital through ways approved by the person in charge of Langley Memorial Hospital operations.
This purpose shall be accomplished by interpretation of the hospital to the public through service to the hospital and its patients and residents and through fundraising in a manner satisfactory to the person in charge of the Langley Memorial Hospital operations and in harmony with the planning of the community.
The purpose of the Langley Memorial Hospital Auxiliary is to foster good relations between the individual Auxiliarians and the Hospital
We, the members of the Langley Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, do hereby pledge ourselves wholeheartedly to the cause and purpose for which we are organized, that is to alleviate sickness and distress and to work to the best of our ability for the welfare of our hospital
